He is survived by: his grandchild Clete Hudson; his son Hunter; his granddaughters, Morgan Hudson and Cali Hudson; his daughter Chandler Hudson Kenny; his granddaughter Jane Kenny; his daughter Hallie Hudson Peavey; his grandchildren, Emerson, Blakely and Lane Peavey; his close friend Teri Tharp; and his sister Bonnie Wible.
Cale was chosen to participate in the Trump Administration's Operation Warp Speed to accelerate the development, manufacturing, and distribution of COVID-19 vaccines, therapeutics, and diagnostics.
