It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Jean Wood of Chanute, Kansas, who passed away on August 22, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Stowell and Cecil Stowell (Brown); and her son Edward. She is survived by: her husband Christopher Wood; her children, Christina Reed of Chanute, KS, Tracy Leal, Herrera of Kansas City, Kansas., Christopher Wood Jr. of Lenexa, KS and Frederick Wood of Chanute, KS.; and her brothers, Perry North Jr. (Bear) of Chanute, KS and Jim Stowell of Pittsburg, KS.. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to St. Patrick's Catholic School. Donations can be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
