We are sad to announce that on February 28, 2023, at the age of 77, Alta Jane Lucas of Chanute, Kansas, born in Pittsburg, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Grosstephan and Marcetta Grosstephan (Dunfee); her husband Michael E Lucas; and her brothers, Alex and Jim.

She is survived by: her children, Lisa Robertson (Patrick) of Sachse, TX, Mike Lucas (Kathy) of Chanute, KS and Jeff Lucas (Vanessa) of Junction City, KS; her sisters, Joni Watts of Kansas City, KS and Annette Grosstephan of Mulberry, KS; and her grandchildren, Michaela Lucas (Rocky Hawthorne), Tyson Lucas, Oliver Lucas, Lauren Lucas, Evan Lucas and Sam Lucas.
