He was predeceased by: his parents, George Richard Sumners and Lois Audrey Sumners (Clark); his son Evan; his grandson Tyler Sumners; and his siblings, George, Richard, Allene Welch and Vicky Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Gale Sumners; his children, Audrey Schuster of Centerville, Brad Sumners (Kimberly) of Osawatomie, Christina Sumners (Brad Kerr) of Parker and Denna Dawes (Melvin) of Inman, Kansas; and his sisters, Joan Higgins of Hermitage, Patty Higgins (Steve) of Phoenix and Rosie Sandoval (Mike) of Hillsdale, Kansas.. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Larry Sumners memorial fund and left in care of the funeral home.
