He is survived by: his wife Carol; and his children, Joy Mildfelt of Richmond, KS., John Wingate of Fontana, KS and Nason Wingate of Ottawa, KS.. He is also survived by 17 Grandchildren and Many Great Grand Children.

A memorial has been established for Southeast Kansas Little Britches Rodeo Association.
