He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Cornett and Viola Rookstool Cornett; his siblings, Robert, Earnest, John and Evelyn Russell; his grandchildren, Julie and Michael Cornett; and his great grandchild Braxton Michelle.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Mendel; and his children, Randy Cornett, Raymond Cornett, Glenn Cornett, Perry Cornett and Mary Michelle. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
