He is survived by: his children, Carla Barnard (Bill) and Larry J. Mills; his brother J. D. Mills; his stepchildren, Len Messenger (Mary), Jon Messenger and Bambi Gress (Tim); his grandsons, Ryan Rader (Hope), Joel Mills (Casey) and Tucker Mills (Karrie); his siblings-in-law, Jill Brandon (Jim) and Bill Macy (Susan); and his stepgrandchildren, Jon Messenger (Amanda), Holly Wedman (Kendall), Bonnie Parker (Kyle), Colleen Knowles (Kelsey), Katy Messenger, Bill Messenger and Jacob Messenger (Melody). He is also survived by eight great grandchildren and nine step- great grandchildren.
A memorial has been established in Carl's name for the Kansas Honor Flight. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
