He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Vernon Reling and Venda Reling (Jones); his former wife Maura Jean Bryant; his daughters, Kary Leanne, Trisha Dianna, Kary Foster (Paul) and Trisha Scott (Travis); his significant other Teresa Cobb; his granddaughters, Paige Robinson, Kamee Robinson, Riley Scott and Kamryn Scott of Alma, Nebraska; and his siblings, Dianna Coad (Ron), Dan Reling and David Reling (Glenna). He was also cherished by many other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Family Expense Fund.
