She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Romme and Magdalena Romme (Kuhn); her husband Lawrence Schmeidler; and her siblings, Robert Romme (Vernetta), Donald Romme, Thomas Romme, Leon Romme, Vera Schmidtberger (Paul), John and Joseph Romme.
She is survived by: her children, Diane Schmeidler of Hays, KS, Joyce Schumacher (Jerry) of Salina, KS and Jonathan Schmeidler (Kim) of Hays, KS; her granddaughter Maggie Carey (Chris); her children, Sarah Anglemyer (Corey), Jacob Schmeidler (Tessa Beeman), Grace Schmeidler and Faith Schmeidler; her great grandchild Natalia Carey; her grandchildren, Madeleine Carey, Levi Anglemyer and Noah Anglemyer; and her sisters-in-law, Jolene Romme of Lawrence, KS, Lillian Fisher of Hays, KS, Anna Marie Lessor (Laverne) of Great Bend, KS, Gloria VonLintel of Vincent, KS and Elsie Schmeidler of Hays, KS. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A prayer was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cline's-Keithley Mortuary of Hays (1919 E 22nd St, Hays, KS 67601). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Catherine Catholic Church (1674 St Catherine St, Catharine, KS 67627).
