It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert William Benortham of Carbondale, Kansas, who passed away on November 21, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Fredrick William Benortham and Madeline Lillian Benortham (Skonberg); and his wife Lucy Benortham. He is survived by : his daughter Sara Smith (David) of St. Joseph, MO; his brother Thomas Benortham (Liz) of Topeka, KS; his sisters-in-law, Nora Lovely (Dan) of Norwalk, IA, Karla Alkire of Derby, KS and Mary Shipps (Steve) of Topeka, KS; and his granddaughters, Joscelyn, Nikola and Kyla. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
