It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peter Mendoza of Carbondale, Kansas, born in Topeka, Kansas, who passed away on April 23, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Juan Mendoza and Petra Mendoza (Sanchez); his siblings, Rosie L. Mendoza and Max Mendoza; and his cousin Mark Mendoza.

He is survived by : his stepchildren, Theresa Courtwright (Chris) of Shawnee, Cindy Thompson (Brent Gurwell) of Scranton, Christina Bronson of Carbondale and Louis Padilla of Carbondale; his siblings, Mary Chavez of Topeka, Rita Hernandez of Topeka, Ramona Burnett (Cappy) of Topeka, Johnny Mendoza (Virginia) of Topeka, Jacinto Mendoza of Topeka and Rebecca Vargas (Roberto) of Ventura, California; and his sister-in-law Connie Mendoza of Topeka. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren.
