He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth and Esther; and his sister Norma Newkirk. He is survived by: his wife Bessie Pruett; his children, Rex Sleichter (Sandy) of Carbondale and Joy Brandenburg (Ferlan) of Scranton; and his sister Carol DeMaranville of Pomona. He is also survived by five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
