He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Sawyer and Ellen Sawyer (Guffey); his children, William Rawlings, June Sawyer, Christina Kennedy and Linda Noell; and his siblings, Henry, Wilbur, James and Agnes.
He is survived by: his daughters, Leona Crain (David) of Carbondale, Ginger Lane of Park Hill and Cheryl Whitney (Jim) of Sebring. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
