He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank L. Everhart and Ruth I. Everhart (Oldfield); his wife Thelma "Tim" Coombs; and his siblings, Bertha Ann Opat, William Joseph Everhart and Richard Keith Everhart.

He is survived by: his sons, William Keith Everhart of Grand Lake, CO and Lawrence Wayne Everhart (Cheryl) of Canton, KS; his siblings, Charles Robert Everhart of Herington, KS and Carol Ruth Ek of McPherson, KS; and his grandchildren, Ruthie Everhart, Molly Everhart, Corey Dinkel, Michelle Armstrong and Crystal Wilson (Tyrone). He is also survived by three great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
