He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Eckermann and Twila Eckermann (Rohrer); his fathers-in-law, Duane Scriber and Dean Shellhammer; and his nephew Chad Schwertfeger.

He is survived by: his wife Connie Scribner; his sister Marilyn Luder (Jack) of Houston, Texas.; his sons, Rohn (Sheri) of Caldwell, Kent (Denise) of Caldwell and Craig (Jenny) of Caldwell; his mothers-in-law, Lois Shellhammer and Mona Scribner; his sister-in-law Vonya Schwertfeger (Bill); his nephew Doug Luder (Shaunna); his nieces, Chrisy Moody (Michael) and Tracey Overall (Chris); and his grandchildren, Calvin Collazo (Taylor), Amanda Eckermann, Samantha Schmidt, Chris Eckermann, Victoria Schmidt, Erma Ratliff (Jeffrey), Ashton Spore (Ethan), Mason Eckermann (Kaylee), Weston Eckermann (Alex) and Shelby Schmidt.

Memorials may be made to the Caldwell Golf Course and sent in care of the mortuary.
