He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Jenista and Edith Jenista (Skvor); his brother Harry Jr.; his children-in-law, Helen Jenista and J. T. Kelso; his granddaughter Brittany Nispel; and his great grandchild Mattison Hadley Peterson.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Schlottog; his children, Randy Jenista, Sandra Kelso, Cynthia Jenista and Barbara Lynn Knowles (Dick); his grandchildren, Jodi Jenista (Aimee), Craig Idacavage (Erin), Michael Kelso, Thomas Kelso, Margaret Peterson (James), Lynn Marshall (Curt), John Ed Kelso (Deanna), Scot Kelso (Deb), Kelly Davert (Mike), Allyson Krenek, Kelsey Krenek (Drew Lupton), Austen Krenek (Shira), Chandra Harrison (Matt), Nick Nispel, Shanna Fairbanks and Shelby Metcalf (Matt); his great grandchildren, Sam Eldredge, Hadley, Jayden Idacavage, Dustin Koehn, Dylan Kelso, Andy Marshall, Christian Kenney, Remington, Ravan, Kieran, Kelian Peterson, Caleb, Jayce, Jax Noyes, Blane, Brinzlee Krenek, Kaden Morgan, Lauren, Raylen Harrison, Cade, Crosby Fairbanks, Presley, Harper and Hayes Metcalf; his brother Marion Jenista; his nieces, Shaleen Duell and Janelle Urista; and his siblings-in-law, Garry Schlottog (Janice), Charles Schlottog (Barb) and Jeannette Schlottog. He is also survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given in memory of Leon to the Sumner County Hospital District #1 or to the Caldwell Senior Center and may be left in care of the mortuary.
