She is survived by: her son John (Natalie); her grandson Owen Ashley; and her sisters, Hiroko Oyake (Tanomo), Reiko Yamagata (Kazuo), Nobuko Sawada (Kazuo) and Takeko Ujihara (Takashi). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
