He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Amos "Junior" Schmidt, Jr. and Barbara Jean Schmidt (Bennett). He is survived by: his wife Debby; his children, James Schmidt, Megan Schmidt of Leawood, KS and Kayla Schmidt of Manhattan, KS; his grandchild Keaton Schmidt; his brother Terry Schmidt (LaDonna) of Olathe, KS; and his nieces and nephews, Tracy Franklin (Cassi) of Portland, OR, Lauren Brown of Olathe, KS and Cory Brown of Olathe, KS. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
