She was predeceased by: her daughter Cindy Carlton; her granddaughter Wendy Carlton; her parents, Newell Newkirk and IIlas Newkirk; and her siblings, Willa Grubbs, Merle Newkirk, Jack Newkirk, Darrell Newkirk and Don Newkirk.

She is survived by: her husband Darrell Brownfield; her children, Trudy Edson (Scot) of Lenexa, Kansas., Marty Brownfield (Tammy) of Topeka and Michael Brownfield of Webb City, Missouri.; her grandchildren, Matthew Stohs, Joshua Stohs, Rhiannon McMurray, Lisa Klaver, James Carlton, Ariele Brownfield, Sydney Brandenburg, Abby Brownfield and Kate Brownfield; and her great grandchildren, Addison Scarrow, Gannon Scarrow and Jackson Stohs. She is also survived by Many nieces, nephews and friends.
