He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Wesley Duston and Kittie Smith Duston; his son Greg Duston; his brother Dean Duston; and his wife Bess.

He is survived by: his son Hal; his daughter-in-law Altona Duston; his grandchildren, Miri, Tamra, Clara, Hannah and Russell Duston; and his great grandchildren, Cadence of Kansas City, Missouri, Korra Lentine of Kansas City, Missouri and Lochlan Blagrave of Kansas City, Missouri. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
