Willis Elgin DeWitt Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willis Elgin DeWitt of Burlingame, Kansas, who passed away on February 24, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan DeWitt and Anna DeWitt (Elgin); his son Wayne; his great grandchild Wiley Colson; and his siblings, Boyd, Darrell, Neal, Ellis, Kane DeWitt, Helen Selby, Bonnie Oyler and Georgia Lacy.
He is survived by: his former wife Peggy Kivitter; his wife Betty Morey Hawker; his stepdaughter Wendy Hinck of White Cloud, KS; his daughters, JoEtta Wheeler of Virginia Beach, VA and DeAnna Bean (Grady) of Osage City, KS; and his sisters, Glenda Supple of Topeka, KS and Gloria Bimslager of Warrenton, MO. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
