He is survived by: his children, Doug Rickel (Susy) of Burlingame, KS and Sue Ann Ryan (Dennis) of Leavenworth, KS; his grandchildren, Roy Rickel (Michelle) of Burlingame, KS, Fallan Pyeatt (Talon) of Burlingame, KS, Sean Ryan of Overland Park, KS and Logan Ryan (Kelly) of Leavenworth, KS; his great grandchildren, Rylie, Hayli, Braden, Dawson, Cole and Collin; his great great grandchild Jaxsun Rendel; and his brother Charles Rickel of Mayetta, KS..
