He was predeceased by: his parents, Jefferson B. Rice and Stella Marie Riley Rice; his wife Marilyn; his son-in-law Jeff McFarlane; his siblings, Wayne Rice, Bernie Rice, Velma Bee Smidt, Dorothy Dot Faust, Ellen Gerisch, Mardell Pittser and Gladys Minni Giffin; his nephews, Doug Gerisch and David Ogle; and his niece Jani B Hunt.
He is survived by: his daughters, Patti, Pam, Patricia Lynn Rice Beach (Dennis), Pamela Jo McFarlane and Peggy Jean Rice; his grandchildren, Josey McFarlane (Christina), Jacob McFarlane (Katie) and Kelsie McFarlane Kooser (Brad); his great grandchildren, McKenna, Madison, Morgan, Moxie, Jameson McFarlane, Justice, Preslee, Ryker McFarlane, Braxton, Jeffrey Decker, Collins and Kane Kooser; his sisters, Mary Ann Rice Miner (Garth) and Janis Grandon Joneal Brock (Dennis); and his brother-in-law Gene Hotchkiss (Kari). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
