Ebert; his mother Janice Mae Chrest of Wamego; his children, Brian Chrest of Westmoreland, Jana Hands (Tracy), Burdett, Tricia Ryan (Shane), Rozel, Stacy Hefley, Wamego Woods and Hallie Woods (Sam); and his siblings, Ronnie Chrest (Charlotte), Rusty Chrest (Laura), Richie Chrest (Joni) and Renee Mathos (Bobby).
