He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Arnold Schmidt and Roberta Martin Schmidt; his wife Glenda Mason; his children, Miranda Schmidt (Kent) of Pawnee Rock, KS, Lisa Koochel (Aaron) and Steven Forward (Amanda) of Chickasha, OK; his siblings, Randy Schmidt (Tammy) of Kinsley, KS and Teresa Arthur (Pat) of Wichita, KS; his grandchildren, Kaitlynn Schmidt, Clayton Berni, Colton Schmidt, Dawson Forward, Kaya Forward and Bentlee Forward; his nephew Garrett Schmidt; and his niece Hannah Ramey.
