For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Shawn and Louise Shawn (Harper); her spouse Thomas "Tommy" Putman; and her daughter Tanesa Sexton. She is survived by: her children, Laquitha Bousson (David) of Arkansas City, Shawn Putman (Shelley) of Newkirk, OK and Prewitt Putman (Autumn) of Winfield; and her grandson Preston Putman.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Miles Funeral Service (4001 E 9th Ave, Winfield, KS 67156). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
A memorial has been established in Sonja's name for the American Diabetes Association. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
