He was predeceased by: his father Roger Edwin Koehler; his wife Joyce Sauber; and his siblings, Florence Walsh, Linda Batchman and Raymond Koehler.

He is survived by: his children, DeAnn Koehler (Lisa Lowe) of Austin, Texas, Kevin Koehler (Cindy) of El Dorado, Kansas, Jamie Larson (Les) of McPherson, Kansas, Terri Larson (Milo) of McPherson, Kansas, Tammy Schrag (Andy) of Kingman, Julie, Allen (David) of Shawnee, Kansas, Joni Fincham (Derek) of Houston, Texas and Jill Koehler (Giselle Scott) of Lawrence, Kansas; his grandchildren, Kyle Koehler, Jarin Koehler, Amber Larson, Landon Larson, Katherine Ramsey, Spencer Ramsey, Timothy Schrag, Sarah Dodge, Rachel Stewart, Tomas Diaz, Geneva Allen, Sydney Allen and Laurence Fincham; and his siblings, Karen Tatro, Conrad Koehler Jr., Kathy Dark and Tim Koehler. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (520 E Northview Ave, McPherson, KS 67460). A rosary will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
