She was predeceased by: her parents, Issac A. Fast and Katherine Fast (Flaming); her son Kenneth Duane; her husband Alfred Schmidt; and her siblings, Ardella, Rosella, Luella, Peter (Esther), Irvin and Albert.
She is survived by: her granddaughters, Jessica Vaile and Misty Xicum Ku (Leo); her daughter-in-law Cindy; her stepgrandson Ryan Penner (Chelsea); her great grandchildren, Christian, Connor Vaile, Kai, Hazel and Koa Xicum; her brother Marlyn Fast (Amanda); and her sisters-in-law, Marilyn and Janice. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
