She was predeceased by: her parents, James Sawyer Hightower and Mary Elizabeth Hightower (Hopkins); and her son Gary Lynn Borders. She is survived by: her husband Monte Borders of Buhler, KS; her children, Stacy Borders (Billy Shumway) of Hutchinson, KS, Kristy Schwind (Tim) of Mount Hope, KS and Corey Borders (Jami Bardshar) of Winfield, KS; and her grandchildren, Trinity Schwind, Kyndal Borders (James Bynum) and Grant Schwind (Caitlin Stiner).
