She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Clasen and Dora Clasen (Thalmann); and her siblings, Margaret Holtje, Amanda Parr, Irma Dierks, Reinhardt, Alvin and Werner Clasen.
She is survived by: her spouses, Walter H. Schmidt and Riley D. Parr; her children, Kathy Trapp (Bruce) of Haven, Marilyn Swanson (Don) of Surprise, AZ, Jerry Schmidt (Linda) of Haven and Jim Schmidt (Leah) of Haven; her brother Orlan Clasen of Roseville, Mich; and her brother-in-law Erich Schmidt. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
