He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph W. and Dorothy G Dewell (Shellhammer); and his siblings, Mary Dewell, Alden (Duke), William (Bill), Lyman and Halbert Dewell.
He is survived by: his wife Vicky Lynn Graham; his daughter Mary G. Moore (Jay); his great grandchild James P. Dewell, II (Francie); and his siblings, Raymond Dewell, Margaret "Mudge" Eaton, Marceline Hoffman and Patricia "Pat" Fisher. He is also survived by four children.
