We are sad to announce that on April 22, 2024, at the age of 87, Gilbert Jack Ellis (Bucklin, Kansas), born in Dodge City, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Ellis and Emma Ellis (Hirt); his siblings, Billy Dean, Duane, Ronald Dale, Norma June Scheufler (Dewey) and Vila Mae Cuer (Jim); his in-laws, Dick Shea, Allen and Doris Lubbers; and his daughter-in-law Brenda Mead.
He is survived by: his wife LaVonne of Kingsdown; his children, Jack Ellis (Julie) of Bucklin, Stan Ellis (Kim) of Bucklin and Jerry Ellis of Kingsdown, Kansas.; his grandchildren, Chris (Stephanie), Curtis (Brekk), Ashley (Dillon), Clark (Katherine), Troy (Miranda), Tommy (Danielle), Tim (Tara), Heather and Cody; his stepgrandchildren, Jason (Alison) and Erin (Tyler); and his in-laws, Lola Mae Shea, Fred, Jeannie Miller and Marilyn Ellis. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family suggests memorials to the Ford County Station #4 Volunteers in care of Minnis Mortuary, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
