He is survived by: his wife Georgia Lea; his children, Tawenda Ramsey (Wendy), Shawnna Harper and Franklin Ramsey, Jr. (Jill); his siblings, Mary Wolke and Everett Ramsey (Judy); and his pet Sassy. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren.
