Alva Leroy Snyder Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Alva Leroy Snyder of Bronson, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 25, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Alva Leroy may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Alva Leroy touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Franklin Snyder and Mary Elizabeth Snyder (Townsend); his wife Marjorie Marilyn Schwartz; his son Gale Snyder; and his siblings, Mary "Sug" Beckford, John Snyder and George "June" Snyder.
He is survived by: his sons, Roger Snyder (Connie) of Chelsea and Michael Snyder (Trisha) of Independence, Kansas. He is also survived by six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home (15 W Wall St, Fort Scott, KS 66701). A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Mapleton Cemetery (398 E 13th St, Mapleton, KS 66754).
