He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew "Bus" and Majorie Elmer (Roark); and his wife Betty Elmer. He is survived by: his sons, Steve Elmer of Tonganoxie, KS., Dr. Jeff Elmer (Jeanne) of Shawnee, KS. and Mike Elmer (Carleen) of Oklahoma City, OK.; his grandchildren, Cody Elmer, Andrew Elmer (Ursula Gurney), Dr. Ryanne Elmer Brown (Matt), Ethan Elmer and Jacquelyn Elmer Wilsey (Clayton); his great grandchildren, Jaxson, Olivia, Michael and Daniel; and his siblings, Jean Ann Belt of Texas, David Elmer (Stephanie) of Springhill, KS. and Janet Baird (Don) of Springfield.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church or the Catholic Charities Hospice Community.
