It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Whitney of Bonner Springs, Kansas, born in Blackwell, Oklahoma, who passed away on July 16, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen McKowan and Helen McKowan (Donaldson); and her grandchildren, Amanda Klein (Bill Whitney) and Patrick Collins. She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Collins of St. Louis, MO. and Debi Klein (Steve) of Overland Park, KS; and her stepchildren, Bill Whitney (Gayle) and Sally Farthing of Kansas City, KS.. She is also survived by five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and other extended family members, and many, many friends.

Memorial contributions can be made to the First Christian Church or to Evergreen Hospice.
