Ric Garcia wrote a sympathy message

“My sincerest condolences to Judy & Chip’s family. So many stories about him & his craziness but my tidbit is when we came to Marysville on the train, he was head brakeman, I was fireman, and we plowed into a cattle truck at hwy 36 crossing. No one was injured thankfully but we spread beef all over town, and I grabbed his shoulders on impact and left bruises he later told me, haha. It was said that every restaurant served chili for a month! Rest In Peace my friend.”
