He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry E. Benson Sr. and Wanda D. Mayfield Benson; and his brother Randal P. Benson. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Louise Bradley Benson; his pet Charlie; and his siblings, Sheryl L. Fox (David Fry) of Leavenworth and Terrance L. Benson (Sno) of Humansville. He is also survived by several nieces, nephew and cousins.
He received numerous awards for his innovative designs and contributions to the field.
