She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Brown and Emma Mae Brown; her father-in-law Virgil DeFries; her brother-in-law Virgil Dale DeFries; and her granddaughter Libby DeFries.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry DeFries; her children, Charla Collins (Scott Kendrick), Emily Peterson (Kevin "Bert"), Elizabeth Ressler (Jeremy) and Andrew DeFries (Stacey); her grandchildren, Cole, Darby, Adam, Nate Peterson, Maddox, Josie Ressler, Lincoln and Lucy DeFries; her brother Charles "Chuck" Brown; her nephew Aaron Brown (Dana) of St. Louis, MO.; her great-nephew Alex Brown; and her mother-in-law Helen DeFries.
