She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Gates and Marie Gates (Eaton); her daughter Vicki Mietchen; and her siblings, Trula Robinett and Alvin Gates.
She is survived by: her former spouse Faryl Howerton; her daughters, Linda Collins (Ted), Patty Friesz (Rick) and Janet Christenson (Tom); her son-in-law Jon Mietchen; her siblings, Phyllis Gish (Duane), JoAnn Bliss and Jerry Gates (Bonda); and her grandchildren, April Rager (Darren), Brad Corder (Mindy), Cara Pendley (Brad), Andrea Collins Keller (Dallas), Jana Collins (Jared Bertels), Jonathan Collins, Gretchen Ezell (Chris), Ben Christenson and Ashley Mietchen. She is also survived by 15 Great-grandchildren.
