He is survived by: his wife Elaine McDowell; his sons, Donald McDowell, Jr. (Ellen) of Basehor, KS., Randy McDowell (Rita) of Basehor, KS. and Roger McDowell (Joanna) of Basehor, KS.; his grandchildren, Donald McDowell, III (Becky), Rebecca Padgett (Caleb), Magen Martin (Kris), Elizabeth Walker (Zach), Randall McDowell, Jr., Emily Phillips (Houston), Reese McDowell and Madison McDowell (Jacob Hansen); his great grandchildren, Evelynn, Katherine, Victoria, Alaina, Avery, Benjamin and Bradley; and his siblings, Leonard McDowell of Brumley, MO. and Emma Jean Dunn of Lone Jack, MO..
