Ivan Wienck Obituary
We bid farewell to Ivan Wienck of Blue Rapids, Kansas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 8, 2025 at the age of 85. Ivan touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Wienck and Olga Stigge Wienck; and his siblings, Howard Wienck, Melvin Wienck, Donald Wienck and Vivian Vickerman.
He is survived by: his wife Irene Wienck; his children, Brenda Miesner (John) of Manhattan, Karla Flax (Gregory) of Manhattan, John Wienck (Linda) of Randolph, Cathy Wilber (Matthew) of Wamego, Wanda Comer (Scott) of Shawnee and Colleen Wienck (Sam Weese) of Wichita; his grandchildren, Rebekka Rinne (Trevor), Abigail Flax, Sarah Flax, Zachary Flax, Allison Comer, Jeremy Comer, Isaac Wilber, Isabella Wilber and William Miesner; and his great grandchildren, Theodore Rinne and Charlotte Rinne. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Monica St. Elizabeth Catholic Church (1007 East Ave, Blue Rapids, KS 66411). A rosary was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 at the Swede Creek Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Ivan Wienck Memorial Fund, to be determined at a later date.
