The memory of Barbara Ubben of Blue Rapids, Kansas, born in Seattle, Washington, who passed away on October 27, 2024 at the age of 87, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice Marden Dixon and Mae Elizabeth Williams; her husband Don Ubben; her sister Patricia Dixon; her brother-in-law Jack VanLeuven; and her son-in-law Steve Hammett.
She is survived by: her friend Ann; her close friends, Cassie Mather and Opal Skalla; her sister Dorothy VanLeuven of Lacey, WA; her children, Teresa Hammett, Greg Ubben (Susan) of Laurel, MD and Todd Ubben of Manhattan, KS; and her grandsons, Jason Hammett (Shannen) and Dustin Hammett (Caitlin).
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Kinsley Mortuary (1006 Broadway St, Marysville, KS 66508). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
A memorial fund is established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent to the Barbara Ubben Memorial Fund in care of Kinsley Mortuary, Marysville, KS.
