It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Voneta Vontelle Lewis of Blue Mound, Kansas, born in Coyle, Oklahoma, who passed away on February 20, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Nathaniel Arthur and Frances Vontelle Lamb (Morgan); her husband John D. Lewis of Blue Mound, Kansas.; her sisters, Glenda Ball and LaVerne McGee; and her nieces and nephews, Linda, Becky Lamb, Marsha McGee Daves, Robert Ball and Ronald McGee.
She is survived by: her siblings, LeRoy Lamb (Nadine) of Mound City, KS and Marjorie Campbell of Raytown, MO. She is also survived by several nieces & nephews, also several great & great-great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers Voneta's family suggests donations to the Alzheimer's Association and may be left in care of the Cheney Witt Chapel, PO Box 347, 201 S. Main St., Fort Scott, KS 66701.
