He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Harold and Elizabeth Jeannette Hardy (Rothweiler); his siblings, Francis Hardy and Carol; and his brother-in-law Lowell Reinhardt.
He is survived by: his nephews, Don Reinhardt (Jan) and Gregg Reinhardt (Maggie); and his great-nieces, Elizabeth Pinkston (Jason) and Amy Blackburn (Mitchell). He is also survived by four great great nieces; and two great great nephews.
In lieu of flowers or plants, the family requests memorials to the Eunice Edwards Scholarship Fund or the donor's choice.
