He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert C. and Cleta Oliver, Sr. (Byers); and his brothers, Steven Jr. and Robert Oliver Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Beverly; his children, Rod C. (Cindy) of San Antonio, James M. (Karen) of San Diego and Wesley of Wichita; his stepchildren, Gerri L. Schaal (David) of Wichita, Virgil A. Brown (Sally) of Louisburg and Kevin W. (Trudy) of Ft; his nephew Clay Oliver (Ann) of Wichita; and his niece Terri Nation (Bob) of Wichita.
In Lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his loving memory to the Wellington Golf Club.
