It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet M. Powell of Beverly, Kansas, born in Glen Elder, Kansas, who passed away on March 12, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gail Hixenbaugh and Edna Pauline Hixenbaugh (Wright); her husband Jim Powell; and her brother-in-law Jerry Gasaway. She is survived by: her sons, Jamie Powell (Gladys) of Beloit, Joel Powell (Anita) of Colby and Jay Powell of Beverly; her grandchildren, Amy Swanson (Virgel), Erin Garst, Maeghan Linder (Dustin), Travis Powell (Athena), Trenton Powell (Ashley), Tara Powell and Dylan Larsen; her great grandchildren, Taylor, Merritt, Isabella Swanson, Clayton, Trinity Garst, Arya, Ryker Linder, Madison, Molly Powell and Callista Powell; and her siblings, Norma Gasaway, Virginia Fobes (Richard), Warren Hixenbaugh (Elizabeth) and Larry Hixenbaugh (Carol).
