He was predeceased by: his parents, James F. Hastings, and Alys L. Hastings, Sr. (Barnes); his sons, Shawn Hastings and Shane Hastings; and his siblings, Jerry Hastings, Vernon Hastings, Karen Bower and Marvin Hastings.
He is survived by: his children, Geri Cummings (George) of Berryton and Stephani Land (Kelley) of Berryton; and his grandchildren, Chelsea, Katelyn, Scott, Ansley, Shawn and Audrey. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
