He was predeceased by: his son Timothy "Tim" Sowers. He is survived by: his parents, Archie Sowers and Grace Sowers (Snodgrass); his spouse Barbara J. Smith; his daughter Jeanne Sowers of Fort Wayne; his grandchildren, Valerie and Thomas; and his daughter-in-law Clara Sowers.
