He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Thurn and Ora Thurn (Cordinier); and his brothers, Leo and Ken Thurn. He is survived by: his wife Rita Mae Enzbrenner; his children, Ben (Beth Thurn) and Kathy (Herb Pello); and his grandchildren, Brad Thurn, Brian Thurn, Jennifer Thurn, AJ Pello, Mike Pello and Matt Pello. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to St. Louis Cemetery or St. Croix Hospice and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
